Good light is felt, not noticed. Over the quiet season we rewired the whole house — halls, restaurant, all forty suites — replacing harsh downlights with warm, layered light that flatters timber, linen and faces alike.
Old fittings, new heart
Wherever possible we kept the originals: brass pendants in the dining room were rewired and re-hung, and the stairwell lanterns now run on dimmable filaments. Suites gained three light scenes — bright for packing, low for reading, ember for late night — on one simple bedside panel.
Outside, we dimmed everything. The Milky Way over the bay is part of the stay, and we intend to keep it.
Come see after dark
The best hour is blue hour: swim at dusk, then walk the lantern-lit path to dinner. Photographers, take note — the dining room at 7 pm and the pool edge at 8:30 are the two frames our guests send home most.
Stay over to see it yourself — browse our rooms and suites or book a night and judge the glow firsthand.
